First Grade Paints Kandinsky

First Grade students looked at the art of Wassily Kandinsky. We then worked together to create our own art in the style of Kandinsky. We made concentric circles and then painted with the Primary colors. The background in all of our papers is painted with the Secondary colors. First Grade did a beautiful job painting!!

Kindergarten's Funky Winter Snowmen

Kindergarten learned about clay these last few weeks. Then each kindergarten student made snowmen out of white modeling clay. We bisque fired our clay and then painted it with tempra paints. Each student chose their own colors for their snowmen. Kindergarten is so creative!! What a good job they did :-)

1st Grade Thanksgiving Scarecrows with oil pastel

First grade students created scarecrows using black oil pastel while viewing mini scarecrows in class. We drew each part of the body together and then each student added details to make their scarecrow unique. The bodies were colored with oil pastels and the backgrounds were painted with tempra paints. They are so cute! Good job 1st Grade.
