Art Is Everywhere!









The Anderson 2010-2011 Yearbooks are finally here! The yearbook staff of very dedicated 5th Grade students worked for 5 months to put together this fantastic book. This is a picture of our cover and the Yearbook Staff page. Good Job and Thank You for all the hard work.

Yearbooks will be distributed to all students the last week of school on Tuesday May 31st during their specials time.

4th Grade Paper Chinese Dragons








Fourth Grade learned about the legends of Chinese Dragons. Each student then made a paper head and tail for their dragon. After that bodies were constructed using an accordion paper folding technique. Super Fun!






2nd Grade clay beads and medallions







Second grade is making bead and medallions out of clay. Stayed tuned to see the beautiful necklaces they make when complete.

5th Grade Creates Recycled Art




Fifth Grade worked on creating a recycled art project for the PTA Council's recycled art project. We took used water bottles and created a recycle trash can out of them. Lot's of fun and environmentally conscientious too!

Kindergarten paints Picasso style portraits











Kindergarten is creating portraits in the style of Pablo Picasso. They are using his ideas of abstraction to create really fun and brightly colored designs. Art can be beautiful and silly at the same time. Way to go Kindergarten.

Fifth Grade Creates Free Form Sculptures







Fifth Grade students used wire hangers, wooden blocks and nylon socks to create free form sculptures. The results are quite stunning.
